INSTRUCTIONS:

You are going to need:

-A sifter

-Cutting board

-A measuring cup

-Measuring spoons, teaspoon/tablespoon

-2 mixing bowls

-A spoon/whisk

-A tube pan

-Cooking oil (spray)

-Canola oil

-Sugar

-Vanilla extract

-Apples (of course)

-3 eggs

-Unbleached flour

-Baking soda

-Salt

  1. Sift 3 cups of flour into your mixing bowl.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

  3. And 1 teaspoon of salt.

  4. In your other mixing bowl add 2 cups of sugar.

  5. Add 1 ½ cups of canola oil.

  6. Add your 3 eggs.

  7. Whisk, whisk, whisk! (Blend well!)

  8. Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.

  9. Grab your other mixing bowl and slowly integrate your flour, baking soda and salt mixture.

  10. On your cutting board, with a peeler cut away the skin of 3 apples.

  11. With a knife, dice your peeled apples into small pieces.

  12. Coat your tube pan with cooking spray. (So your cake doesn’t stick!)

  13. Add 3 cups of apples pieces to your batter.

  14. Fold in your apples.

  15. Scoop your apple batter into your tube pan.

  16. Cook at 350˚ F for 65 minutes.

  17. Let it cool for 20 minutes.

  18. To make this dessert more special sift powered sugar on top.

  19. I’ve also added some edible orange glitter, because I’ve got a thing for sparkles.

  20. Cut a piece for your family and friends. (Top it with ice cream or whipped cream to make it extra tasty!)

NOTE: This serves from 16-20 people. It’s a heavy cake, so it’s perfect for a weekend get-together, special dinner, or to just give you that ‘cozy’ feeling on a cold FALL night.

Until next time loves! XO!
